What is this SOLID stuff I keep hearing about? Are these "principles" something I should be concerned about and will they really make my code any better? -- YES

In this session we will take a look at each of the SOLID principles and explain what each one of these mean. We will do this by walking though the evolution of code and take a look at how each of these principles can lead us down the path to writing cleaner and more manageable code. If you are looking for a slide heavy session then this is the wrong session for you. We will spend the majority of our time diving through code and seeing how these principles work.

Derik is a guy who writes code currently working with AllscriptsMisys Healthcare. Derik has over 9 years of experience developing, mentoring and leading Microsoft based products for a wide variety of different professional fields.

Derik is a C# MVP and is a member of the ASPInsiders group. He has been working exclusively with .Net since its inception and has professional experience in both VB.net as well as C#. He is also a follower and believer in the Agile methodologies and has wide array of experience using various Agile techniques in the real world.
