Join Microsoft and the Wisconsin .NET Users Group for a Visual Studio 2008 Install Fest & Holiday Party on December 18, 2007!
Microsoft and the WI .NET Users Group are teaming up to throw a little holiday party this year. Visual Studio is HERE and this event is your opportunity to get your hands on the released version before anyone else! Every person that installs Visual Studio 2008 on their computer at the event will receive a FREE fully licensed copy of Visual Studio 2008 Professional in the mail shortly after public release.
The date has been set -- December 18 -- and we will be meeting at Direct Supply in Milwaukee. Please register now if you plan to attend. Microsoft would like to get a good head count to make sure we are prepared with everything.
UPDATE #2: As you know, we quickly reached our capacity, filling up within 3.5 hours of opening registration. We just got word today that we have a few dozen more VS08 licenses.
In addition, we are opening the party up to anyone that wants to attend, even though not everyone will receive a license. If registration is full, please sign up on the "wait list". We still want everyone to come to the party, and if some of the early registrants are unable to attend, we will have more opportunities for people on the wait list to get a license.
UPDATE: Unfortunately, we have already reached the maximum capacity for this event. A mere 3.5 hours after sending the newsletter announcement, the event has filled up. The Chicago .NET Users Group is also having a similar event, and theirs "sold out" in 2 hours. We are working to see if there is anything that can be done to add more capacity, so keep watching this site for updates. If anything else comes up and more space is made available we will definitely make an update. We apologize for those of you that wanted to register but were not able to get signed up in time. This booked up much faster than anticipated. Please check back regularly in case more seats are added or in case some people cancel their registration. We will send a newsletter update as well if that happens.
